Why the chrome weights in the background?

Because it reminds me of the titanium rods, screws and pins that are holding me together.  Not as shiny - I guess??? - but infinitely more valuable.  Or at least it was expensive to have installed!

Grateful to Dr. Pete Sorini and Dr. Ray Grundmeyer who installed this expensive infrastructure.  Good job so far.

18 days and counting...

OK, this is the first post of my blog.  Not sure I really want to share how I am feeling about having yet another - and hopefully final - spinal fusion surgery on Nov 15.  All I know is that if I didn't know it was now physically impossible, I would swear I was suffering from PMS.  The feeling that I would just like to bury my face in my pillow and scream.  Chocolate doesn't help - I tried.
